The last supper

Well, maybe Leonardo made a better work on that little church refectory, and clearly this is not the last supper for us. Maybe "this year last supper" would be a better title, but not as attractive one.

As the photo footage is not quite good, lighting was dimm and even though the moon is on its path to become full the cell phone camera doesn't perform magic yet. So a little description of the situation is in order.

We've decided that a nice and quiet night BBQ at the solarium was a good idea instead of getting crazy in a crowded restaurant, so that afternoon we went shopping for a good piece of meat, some beers and drinks and Facundo took the position of 'grill master'.

Sebastian, who has recently become part of the team, Emiliano, Diego, Martin and Andres ran out of the noisy office (the AC was being installed) and started to get a good time on the solarium on the last sun hour of that day.

As the afternoon was running out of light food was ready and the chat between us in those beatiful tables aside the grill was fun and amusing. It was a good moment to share with the team.

The Moon at the top, the swimming pool in the front, and far back, trying hard, you can disguise some people, that's us.

As this was a hard day with a nice end, we have here a little 'allegory'

BBQ at new digs!!

Hi everybody!! As you may know, we have changed offices. The new building is amazing, Joe had the opportunity to know the place so he can tell you how good it is!!

Today we enjoy a couple of hamburguers made at the grill in the solarium, here we left a few pictures.

Here you can see Emiliano and Diego under the sunshade and also Maximo in the office's balcony, which has a great view to the solarium

Andrés is in charge of cooking, Juri and Emiliano take a sun bath while waiting... you can tell they're hungry!!

Facundo, Emiliano, Juri and Diego enjoying the sun and a beer while waiting for the hamburguers

Cooking is done, now each of us grub some lunch!

The Solarium is deserted!!! Looks like we have scared the rest of the building!!

Daniel and Emiliano take a bite under the sun.

Keep growing

Six months or so

It has been like six months already since the last entry. Well, an entry on a new display for work and such was placed, but this time we'll try to make an abstract for the last six months.

New People

We had a very nice incoming this first part of the year. First Maximo arrived to lead our efforts towards Digital Signage. He just came and then split out to Austin so most of you surely met him down there.
Then we were pleased to recieve Martín and Daniel to work on POS and SWO. They're doing perfect and as we did with Maximo, we gave them a warm welcome and every day we try to help them be comfortable at work place.

New goals

Growing up isn't only just get new people on board. Also it's setting up goals and stroke the path to achieve them. Maximo got into DS pretty quick and now the local team, with Juri and Diego, is moving forward through his leading. He's constantly threating Andrés about switching him into DS.

Now two of our team members are abroad doing some support for POS in a new stage of our business, which is great and give us confidence in what we're doing.

Gear up

Office couldn't be in better shape. We've got some new desks for Daniel and Martín, new displays for development and even a testing screen for DS. The space for new people arriving it's already set up.

Getting out

Time spent together at work sometimes is not the best to learn to get along and know about each other, so we get out some times to spend some fun time together. As Maximo didn't had time to have a fancy dinner as we had last year a couple of times before to go with Juri and Diego to Austin we'd nice lunch at 'Kansas' when they returned.

Also our plans to play some 'futbol' on 2009 finally came to life this year when we reach the required number, five, and even Martín, who still wasn't working for us but was already choosen to do so played at the opponent team in the first game. Now the teams had suffered some 'depletion' because some minor injuries, but the venue it's settled and along the year we'll be continue with this fun 'after office'.

Last but not least...

Past May 25th Argentina reach his revolution's 200th birthday!!!

There was a huge parade, with shows and stands for every and each corner of the country and lasted four whole days. There was people every where, and even when Argentina played against Canada in a friendly match previous to the World Cup they set up the match in all the screens displayed on the streets, so there was like a million people watching the game live in the streets!!!

Problems finding excuses..

This is heck. As you can see, this picture shows the working conditions at Buenos Aires. Mate, LCD monitor, laptop, HiFi speakers, city maps and even family pictures. If you take a look closer, you'll even find a pice of chocolate cake. Now, I find this very anoying, because it's getting harder and harder to find a new excuse for not be working.

Even more, if you pay attention, last pictures of Andres' desk he didn't had any work related application on top, rather some wikipedia or something else.... now take a look... this is going mad.. like my friend 'Butters' says.. 'This is heck I tell ya'

Last 2009 dinner

Hi everyone! This is team Bs As reporting in the last days of this 2009.
The four of us had a little and funny evening at Rodizio's, a nice restaurant at the river's shore. We had a few drinks and because of that and the good moment we were having, I've totally forgot to take pictures. Facundo reminded me at the very last moment and the results are showed...jejeje. (remember, this 'jejeje' is more like a ho ho ho)

Rodizio's speciality is meat, what else could it be at Argentina and even more in Buenos Aires, and I must say that the reputation of the place and its chefs wasn't in jeopardy at all. Everything was perfect, including the buffet that can be seen at the back of us in the pictures.

Wine couldn't be bad if Facundo is the one who makes the selection and I say this after some meals with him, of course this time wasn't the exception. But Diego and I betrayed this and have a beer, hot as it is the weather in this days it's like you must have one.

The night closed with a little chat while drinking some champagne and we were the last to leave the place.

Take a look!!

Andres' HairCut

Hi everyone, this is last news from Baires, some cultural info, personal stuff and of course: an excuse to tell anyone who won the last national soccer championship.

Fact number 1: Last Saturday I've give my self a haircut. Yes, I did it my self. Pictures are showned below.

Fact number 2: Last Sunday, my soccer team won the national championship for the first time in its history, and being one that spans 113 years, I think it's saying enough (more at fifa.com)

Why those things should relate? Well, it's a common custome to make a promise during the competition, in which supporters take an oath stateing that they'll do something if their team wins or achieve a particular goal. Well, as I'm a fan of Banfield A.C. (take a look here) many people think that my haircut it's related to a promise that I've made, but....

This is what I've choose to wear in my head

Maybe it sounds (or reads) as I'm sick and tire of people anoying my with questions or strange looks... but no I'm not, I just wanted to post something as an excuse to add my team's glorious achivement!! :-D

See you all around!!
